On June 1st, President Obama spoke about the jobs bill at an event at the Honeywell facility in Golden Valley, Minnesota. In summary, he made it clear that the county’s current disastrous situation is not his fault; it’s the world’s fault, the Middle East, Europe, George Bush, the oil spill, the tornadoes etc. Everyone’s fault but his own.
Furthermore, the president reminded the attendees about the cure all jobs bill he proposed to Congress (fine print: the wealthiest will have to pay their fair share).
Finally, he addressed Congress by saying: “We have responsibilities that are bigger than an election”. After wrapping up his speech, it’s reported he was on his way to one of six fundraisers.
I wonder who does his job in a mean time…
